The Electrostatic Loudspeaker P 6.1 has been developed in order to reproduce music as lifelike and pure as possible. We are protectionists of the minimalist and extremely puristic construction / assembling. A lot of parts or devices will not automatically mean a better sound: less often is more. This can also be said for correction and regulating circuits, which will be applied only if absolutely necessary or if they do not have any negative sound effects. Otherwise we prefer other possibilities.

The entire new development has been effected with great efforts: the foil and the coating, the transformers as well as the inner wiring are completely new and had been determined and optimized in particular listening tests. A very costy and longsome issue, but the result shows, that it was worth for.
Nevertheless other tuning measures (e.g. bases or feet by Audio Exklusiv) will be able to optimize the sound.

The P 6.1 is the consequent further development of our P 3.1. Even this is a full-range electrostatic loudspeaker, that means the whole frequency range is to be reproduced by one foil (in case of the P 6.1 there are 2 foil elements) without a dynamic subwoofer. Because things such as homogeneity, space reproduction, resolution and floating crossovers can be reached in the best way with such a method, we decided to use the same concept that had been applied for the legendary forerunner. The references have of course been our legendary electrostatic loudspeakers P 3 /P 6. But some deciding and important points had to be improved and at the same time some prejudices had to be eliminated.

 Frequency response:

A new, very complex transformer improves the frequency response which is extended for one octave downwards. An impressing low bass, dry and outlined, but at the same time fundamental, coloured and above all with a breathtaking authority is an important characteristic of the new P 6.1. At the same time we could drastically improve the phase progression and the distortion characteristics.

Maximum level and sensitivity:

Completely new developed panels with a modified foil, a new coating procedure and a greater interspace between foil and stator enable an important greater deviation, considerably more level as well as lower sensitivity against dust (sizzle). The P 6.1 has become more resistant against attaching: even in this case there will be no damaging of the foil – this can be avoided by the modified assembly of the elements.

Furthermore the 3 parts of the elements have been combined to one unit – higher series stability, better bass- and distortion-properties as well as a considerably improved service-friendliness are the results.

The P 3.1 already being quite sensitive (well fitted 2 x 10 W tubes allow to drift up into other sound-worlds), the P 6.1 comes along with additional 3 dB. And the maximal level could also be improved by 3 dB and should now meet all requirements.

Amplifier-Friendliness:
The old P 6 having been famous-infamous because of its demanding impedance- and phase-characteristics. The new P 6.1 however is quite uncritical. The impedance in important ranges is always in an amplifier friendly range, and even in the highrange sectors the impedance will not lie under approx. 2,5 ohm.

Placing:
Due to the Audio Exklusiv special circuit which drives delayed-action the vertical in high-range, mid-range and bass-range segmented foil, a cylinder wave is created which ensures considerably improved radiating characteristics. So you are not fixed on only one right listening position but you will have the whole listening pleasure in wider ranges. Furthermore the special radiating characteristics ensure that neither the side- nor the rear-elements play a great role concerning placing.
