A consideration on the introduction of the Silentplugs

A lot of people doubtfully look towards audio accessories. So many products abd their effectiveness can´t be explained  and so they only seem to be daylight robbery, clever marketing or even just Voodoo! Especially critical when another phenomenon comes that way: the first listener remarks a change, the next doesn´t hear anything and the third person feels insecure. And when even the press covers the range from "sensational" to "nonsense" the uncertainty is perfect.

So finally  the objectivity gets lost and scientific approaches cannot be found. We do not negate any new ideas, any approach - everything will be checked. But we personally do prefer products or measures where a) the effect instantly can be reproduced and b) that can be explained anyhow or taht can - in the ideal case - be proven by measuring.Audio Exklusiv concentrates - due to a long and intensive research - on a sector which has, in our opinion, the greatest influence / effect on the sound: the mechanical component.

The unit - a complex item

What happens inside the unit? FInally a unit is nothing more but a complex frequency response system, which wll be inspired not only by the direct airborne sound (such as cabinet, circuit board, parts, sockets or inner cables) but also by the indirect airborne sound (e.g. underground, bases, cables). Even transformer vibrations or the electricity that circulates through the parts generate a certain "independent existence".

All these interferences overlay in phase or out of phase itself or the original music signal. These facts will lead not only to tonal modifications and colourations, but also to the influence of the space reproduction, dynamic and also the distortion characteristics. The extremes are well known: certain products sound per se e.g. brightly, metallic and nervous, really scratchy, others however are round, extremely warm, slow - apart from dome exceptions the mechanical condeption of the devices (and consequently teh undergound) can be made resonsible for there phenomena.

The Solution

At this point the concept from Audio Exklusiv comes into the game and moves like a central theme through the whole product line. This does however not mean taht a single Audio Exklusiv product does not show an effect or does not sound marvelously. But in combination of all products - that means: base, fett unit and plugs - the result is absolutely impressing. In that way the units can show what has really been saved on the sound storage medium. Our concept is quite simple: first a nearly perfect decoupling from the underground has to be reached, without projecting new distinctive resonances into the unit. In order to reach this, two materials play a decisive role: the material for decoupling and teh material of the underground. Here we use the d.C.d Base. In the next step itßs important to calm the cabinet and to minimize teh system immanent resonances and distortions. Our d.C.d. feet will take over this job. With the silentplugs further resonances in the area of the connections will be absorbed.
With these measures approx. 75% of the possible mechanical improvements have been reached. The next step is more complex, because an intervention in the unit is necessary. As we use them also for our own products we use special board distance pieces, attachment materials and calmed control elements. With our successful d.C.d. Feet and d.C.d. Base we always amaze the press, dealers and end consumers. Such a positive modification without a tonal influence, but on the other side drastical improvements concerning distortion, outlining and releasing from the loudspeakers has never before been heard in this way. For many music lovers the combination of Feet and Bese in the meantime is an absolutely "must have".

Our Silentplugs now complete the range, optimizing a sector that never before had been considered: the connection sector (cinch connectors). As an additional function the unused connectors will be closed against radiation. The main job however is once again carried out by our patented resonance absorbing material. It calms above all the cinch connectors and their periphery: the connector housing, the innerconstruction with the contact spring, the cabling, the rear panel / housing influences, maybe the board on which the connectors directly assembled - all these vibrations, resonances and resulting distortions will be absorbed. Even a digital input/output shows a drastic effect.

The Silentplug is a complex construction: a milled aluminium plug, lined in the inner with our special material, the specially worked out the plug nose - made out of the same material, the housing bwith a damping shrink sleeving - inconsiderable and supposed to be simple, but highly effective. The result speaks for itself: the sound is becoming cleaner, more structureed and better to hear through, the resolution and fine information become more, distortions and uncleanness will be reduced dramatically, the dynamic (groos and mainly fine dynamics) grows, the sound pattern releases from the loudspeakers. Emotions and the musical flow come into the foreground.

The effects of the three accessories are simliar and they do complete each other perfectly. A unit, completely equipped with those will play better for two or three classes. The financial effort is much less as if one buys the would-be-better-product for a much higher price. And: the results of the measures can metrological been reproduced.

But keep in mind that not all products show the same results.Components such as housing conception are playing an important role an on the other side it depends  on the entire chain.
